Does anyone know why Gibson uses that prosthetic limb colored neck binding as opposed to the nice white binding like they put on the SG customs? They should put white binding on as a standard. It looks so much nicer.
@leftyrock85 Yes it does! I wish Angus woud play that one more. He sure loves that damn black 64 SG for some reason. I think it looks very boring, mostly because that's all he's played since 1991, aside from his lightning bolt SG. Another Angus SG that I really really love is his black SG custom with the white pickguard. That guitar rocks! He took it on this last tour, but never played it once to my knowledge.
You ever see his JD SG? That was his first lightning bolt SG.
@leftyrock85 I, personally, love the bright finish. You ever watch AC/DC No Bull? If so, I'm sure you noticed the SG Angus played during Shook Me All Night Long. It had the brighter finish, and under the lights, it appeared more a sports car hot-rod kind of red than a wood grain. I love that finish.
But yeah, the darker red finished like wine red are really awesome too. It's cool to have one of each, that way you can bust out whichever one you're in the mood for.

It looks to be a very natural mahogany colour though :-)
The grain looks fine too.
