Beautiful action along the NS Chicago Line in Goshen, IN. Lots of older EMDs, lease units and foreign power on NS and CP trackage rights trains.
Hotshot 20E is seen first, accelerating from the 40mph crossover at CP 412 a mile away. Todays train for Rutherford and Morrisville, PA has 49 trailers and lots of empties. On every other day of the week this train is combined with train 294 for Croxton which was by 3 hours earlier with 50 more trailers and 30 containers.
20E meets 311 coming around the 10mph curve and today has an ex-SOO line leader.
14 minutes later Amtraks Capitol Limited blasts through at speed.
At 10:26 I catch my first ever Indiana Railroad diesel in action, leading train 68V with 49 empty steel gons for Detroit.
Right behind 68V is 18M with more interesting lease power and 105 cars for Linwood, NC to sort.
Right on 18M's heels is 14N with 100 cars for Conway and 3 NS EMD's.
After 3 more trains (23K, 16E, 39E), CP train 32T blasts east at speed. The SOO red looks great!
be good,

The INRD is tech CEFX again...That unit led a 661 out of Detroit after setting the 68V out in Detroit to be loaded.
