@Matt14500 By 1985 Stevie was already "on death row". He started drinking at 7 and (mis)using substances not long after. By 14 he was as heavy a drinker as only a born alcoholic can be. At 17 he taught he'd never live long enough to come of age. It's sad that alcohol and drugs started to take toll on him almost simultaneosly with his coming out of obscurity

I've been a blues fan for 25 years plus and I still regard this as the GREATEST slow blues song I have ever heard, bar none. So yeah, BM, I 100 per cent agree with you! The world will never see his like again, though many have claimed his crown as the best Blues guitar player since Jimi. Why oh why did you have to leave us so soon, Stevie? - its a crying shame you're jammin with Jimi, not on some stage somewhere! Blues fans have been robbed-- robbed!! 21 years this year, since you left us.
