  • umm... Adventure time stoled this i think o.o

  • @Warrior300000 Hrm?

  • Thanks for posting this.

Epictetus instructing on how to be a prudent slave and have a good time doing it. Surprisingly, I find Marcus Aurelius a little more relevant. I wander if there are any stoic commentaries for a middle class types?

  • Seneca. Seneca's letters are written for the modern equivalent of the middle class-man. The lost works of Panaetius were probably in a similar vein as well.

  • Thanks for the info, I'll check him out.

  • Penguin Classics edition ftw.

  • Epictetus (to my notion - one of the best - words of wisdom). Nice Job. Quite an undertaking, and a worthy effort. KUDOS!! Thank you. 5tars!

  • Excellent post, thankyou very much for this treasure. So much that echoes into later thinkers, particularly the striking resemblances to Spinoza.

Not overly impressed with the quality of narration however, I found it rather uneven in intonation and rhythm.

  • your voice is unpleasant to listen to.. thanks for the effort tho

  • Allow me to express my gratitude for taking the time to do all the work required in creating and posting this. I listen to these videos almost everyday.

I certainly hope, as I'm sure others do as well, that you post more of these "stoic audiobooks". Thank you.

  • Cool but you know in modern times we think in probabilities. That is, I can increase the chances of having a good reputation by wearing proper attire, doing my homework, etc. So to varying extent some things that are supposedly out of control are somewhat in. How do you figure that?

  • Brilliant!

  • I think the charm of this guy's readings are the uneven intonation; after having watched most of the marcus aurelius videos, I find his voice soothing and reminds me of beauitiful philosophy! thank you!

  • It's great you did this to spread stoic thinking ! Excellent work ! Cheers !

  • I recommend reading Letters from a Stoic also. Penguin Classics Edition.
