President Obama, what exactly will you choose to pay? What are your priorities?

If you're not going to pay our $17 billion average monthly debt...with 10 times that amount of money on hand to do so...well then, what are you going to spend that money on? Can you tell us what you and Secretary Geithner could possibly see as more important than avoiding default on our debt obligations?

And if you're not going to pay the $93 billion promised to Social Security and medicare recipients in August, when you will have twice that much money on hand, then who are you going to give that money to instead? Who exactly do you think is more important than our senior citizens?

If you're not going to pay for the war you unilaterally launched in Libya, or the war you expanded in Afghanistan; and you're not going to pay our armed forces who are defending our country, and you're not going to pay our air traffic controllers...even though you will have plenty of funds on hand to do so...then what are you going to spend that $61 billion on instead?

America knows that it's going to be your choice where to spend the money, so this is the only questions we want to know from you: Tell us what your priorities are. America demands and deserves nothing less from our chief executive officer.

Where's that money going to go each and every month?

  • You have no idea how wrong you are sir. I teach Macro-Econ and I think you should take the class to understand how far off you are on your argument.

  • @panther201787 I would think that if you are in fact a teacher, you would be able to offer a meaningful rebuttal in a succinct enough manner as to be effective in a forum such as this. I'm afraid that simply claiming to be someone of "authority" on the matter, and then informing me as to "how far off" I am, just doesn't carry a lot of weight around here. Thanks for watching, though!

  • @iCaucusTV Dude, stop using the thesaurus and take the class.

  • @spawnfeb2690 Lol, spoken like a ward of The State. Stop using a thesaurus? For a teacher, you must be working with remedial students if you believe my previous response requires a thesaurus.

    Besides, aren't they extinct?

  • Wait a second are you all Racist? If you don't like your country being destroyed then you must be racist. If you want freedom you must be racist, if you want liberty you must be a racist, if you love the Constitution you must be a racist. If you love Capitalism you must be a racist, if you love our America you must be a racist, if you don't want Shiaria law you must be a racist, if you want smaller government you must be a racist. I'm sure I left somethings out but this is what our government

  • America has been hijacked by the Obama administration, and our elected official and the news media continue to stick their head in the sand. Why? You ask. Pay attention! Because the American people of both parties are beginning to see through the lies and threats and bully tactics. This is America, not Communist China or some Muslim nation. It is time all elected officials go back to defending our Constitution and taking care of business using sound business principles. Stop the bleeding.

  • I don't know the details about how the Federal gov't works its payment streams, but I would guess that this four-minute rant has not outsmarted all of the folks who know the details point. The Feds get most of their money between January 1 and April 15. And then they spend and borrow their way through the year. By August, they probably do need to borrow money to pay the debts. You also left out a myriad of other expenses. Your argument is sophistry, and I hope no one takes it seriously.

  • @bballyk Watch MSNBC? You can't be serious... Right or wrong, they just fired Pat Buchanan, the one remaining semblance of a conservative voice on the entire network. What you're suggesting is that I switch to a steady diet of liberal group think, and put aside and critical thinking or cognitive reasoning so I'll end up thinking JUST LIKE YOU and the five other people watching MSNBC.

    No thank you.

  • @toleslie No, I want people like Romney and Gingrich to pay more taxes, and I want people needing work to get paid with this money to fix our infrastructure (and not building a very controversial pipeline, either)

  • @iCaucusTV consider some other news sources, other than those made by the extremely wealthy. The republicans created this situation. Remember Bush talking about it just as he was leaving? HE spent all the money (that he didn't have because he let the richest 1% pay hardly any taxes) on those stupid wars. Seriously, just consider watching MSNBC with an open mind.

  • I asked the president where my money was and he Bush Jr. had it

  • ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country
