WhatsYourTech.ca guru, Ted Kritsonis, reviews the ASUS O!Play HDP-R1, a small set top box that connects to your home router and TV and allows you to enjoy your media files. You can also make use of it without an Internet connection by just plugging in an external hard drive via a USB or eSATA connection.
You don't have to download them, it will play Internet movies on the fly (ie) Stream.. but only pacific designed websites.

@mhd720 That kinda sucks ! Seems kinda pointless to have an Ethernet plug in if you can't go to a site to watch it ...The whole point of my purchase of this was to go to an online site to watch it without having to download it....I mean I love the O-play device because it plays flash movies without having to convert them into AVI files or any other type of file, Hell I was already downloading them. Thanks for the info

@NB5BHVL Ethernet connection is for playing files on a network share (ie files you've downloaded on your computer)

I have HDP-R1 with me for 2 weeks and overall, i am not that much satisfied by the performance.
My version is 1.24P, the remote is not that much responsive and there is a lagging for 5-6 seconds when we preview the movie in the system.
Also, sometimes, on larger files like HDRip, it hangs and we will have to restart the system.
