Eh Grimbo, Try planting some Sea Buckthorn, or do you have it wild? All parts are jam packed. I like it as even in our worst winters berries stay all winter. Some do get froze & unthaw getting brown but lots stay orange & are like tangy frozen popcicles. All parts are eatable, prevent certain cancers good for skin so forth. You can just chop a few branches to & put in ground but keep wet a while. My grove kept robins alive last spring in blizzard.
