A good set of rules to follow if you are just starting out. Rule 2 everyone should follow.

I would advise that you use your common sense when it comes to eating. I'm not an expert on nutrition. Try to follow some simple guide lines. I think one of the most important things you can do is to avoid process food as much as you can. They tend to be high in sugar, salt and fat, even products labelled 'diet' will often contain high levels of salt or sugar (they just have less than the alternative). But if you stick to a sensible eating plan and don't binge on the 'bad foods' that's a start.

In regards to nutrition you don't need to take any 'special' food. To help you getting a six pack along with an effective exercise routine you will need to know how different types of food effect your body. So you know what foods will for example help build muscle, or how certain food groups can undo all your hard work.
