2012 Mercedes-Benz C350 New Technology Demo & Drive

( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Once upon a time driving a car was a simple matter of starting the engine and stepping on the gas, but those days are long gone. Today's new cars have more computing power than what it took to send man to the moon. And one of the most technology ladened cars is the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C350 which comes with Attention Assist, Blind spot Assist and Lane Keep Assist. All of these technologies work together to keep you safer on the road but that also automate driving and take away some of our car control. Check out this demo as we preview optional new car technologies today that might be mandatory tomorrow.

I had to turn off the Lane Keep assist when driving the car, but the blind spot monitor and Attention assist is easy to live with.

These stuff aren't that bad.. the vibration thing might be annoying, but you can turn it off..

More un-needed and unwanted technology. We have Nav, but now no one knows how to navigate, read a map, etc. We'll follow the Nav into the ocean if it tells us to go there. It's dumbing down drivers. We can't do a shoulder check? We need side assistance? I have 400hp, but there's TC, ABS, ESP, etc. I can't even break the tires loose anymore. Like Roman said, this may be mandated technology someday, Scarey thought? Driving is a wonderful freedom!

Great video! Most car reviewers just mention the technologies the car's have. Its nice to see somebody tear into the technology and show exactly what it does and how it works. Great job!

My 2008 Volvo XC70 has all of these features, and I love them! However, the steering wheel does not vibrate.
