Used to sit up as a young white kid until midnite in the early 50's to pick up Gene Nobles, WLS Nashville from Milwaukee WI to hear Little Walter, Bo Diddly, Jimmy Reed and other R&B greats. Remember Little Walter's "Roller Coaster" ? My Babe was another of my favorites from 60+ years ago. All we had was popular and polka music back then. I still have a bunch of harmonicas and play My Babe on my old Martin.

I think this is one of those big diatonic G harps No.364 or 365, not a regular Marine Band. The sound is fuller and the low notes have more pitch stability. His tone is amazing for a low key harp...I particularly love the shredding effect on the 4 draw and the subtle, almost tender phrasing in the closing turnaround. One of his most beautiful solos and a truly haunting tune.
