  • Gee, Holly, you mean they have a Suvarnabhumi Airport in Singapore and speak Thai there? I guess I must have been ported through a wormhole to Singapore when I thought I was in Bangkok. Gee, next time I'll check more carefully. I could end up in Beijing when all I was trying to do was get from Makkasan to Hua Mak.

  • UPDATE: The Suvarnabumi Airport Rail Link (SARL) is going into full commercial operation August 23 2010. The Airport Express will be rocketing non-stop from Suvarnabhumi to Makkasan in 15 minutes. The City Line (pictured here) will take 30 minutes and stop at every station.. Introductory fares: Airport Express 100 baht, City Line 15 baht.

  • Thanks a bunch for presenting this first view! At 150 baht per person, it's a question of how many will take it when a taxi carrying 2-4 pax costs about twice that and is door-to-door.

  • @nongthip I think a lot of people will use it for the speed and convenience of not having to deal with taxi DRIVERS, especially if there are going to be shuttles from Makkasan to Sukhumvit Road. Plus all the people WORKING at the airport. And I think it will get heavy use by the people in the Eastern Suburbs. I took it out to Suvarnabhumi again the other day just to have coffee with a friend.

  • @Holly02391 This is Bangkok, Thailand, not Singapore, Singapore.

  • This is Singapore not thailand

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing :)

  • You can take the City Line instead... fares of about 35 to 40 per trip per person would be more affordable.
