can anyone who flew on a sideway business class seating such as (virgin, cathay pacific, jet airways, air new zealand, delta, air canada etc) explain if it feels any different sitting sideways rather than sitting normally? please say the ups and downs of this configuration. Thanks.

@bkboeing @PeteMason @bbcisrubbish I actually remember falling asleep shortly after taking off from JFK and waking just before landing in LHR and being a bit angry because I hadn't stayed up for the flight! Well-behaved kids in classes like this really should not be an issue - if it was they wouldn't sell you the tickets in the first place! Totally unrelated, but @bbcisrubbish I couldn't disagree more with your YouTube name.

@bkboeing @PeteMason @bbcisrubbish I'm also 15 and my parents and I flew upper class on Virgin in 2001 (not herringbone layout) and I can still remember it today. It might not seem that long ago but it's probably one of my few memories of being 5 years old. Like you said, I also now have a keen interest in aviation and it is still one of the most astonishing flights I've been on.

@bkboeing yes I flown first class before to and when they see me and my brother the adults give us a dirty look I do aspire to pilot one day to. I'm always nice to flight attendant to never mean.

@tag1989 They're two well behaved kids enjoying a flight and if you have a problem with that then you are the immature one not them. Have fun in premium but keep in mind that nobody cares where you sit, so really do as you please.

I don't see why people don't think the children shouldn't be able to fly Business/First. The kids in this video seem okay, it's not as if they're kicking chairs, crying, screaming or even being brats. They seem like respectful kids that are just grateful that they get the fly business.

stop complaining about the bloody kids... at least theyre not crying babies
I'm 15 years old. Have always flown first, and have taken a vast interest in aviation. I aspire to one day be a pilot. My parents had the luxury of allowing me to join them in First when we went on trips, but I always well behaved. To judge that kids dont appreciate it is stupid. My first aviation experience was in the cockpit of a boeing 747-400 thanks to first class. I currently atttend flight school, and it all may be due to that experience. Lay off the kids and grow up. were not all brats.

@bkboeing, thank you thank you thank you so much for interjecting some common sense!!! Yeah my youngest is extremely interested in aircraft, airports, piloting, etc. And being nicely behaved is a condition of privilege, we'd kick them back to economy in a heartbeat if they started getting loud or obnoxious (and they know it!). Anyway, thank you so much for posting something nice here, we really appreciate it! :-)

@PeteMason. I am sure the economy passengers would be very pleased with your comments.
If a first class passenger is incapable of training it's child neither of them should be allowed on board at all. I for one am sick of badly behaved, spoiled, precocious brats.
I don't fly at all after an experience on Finnair, sod the lot of you and the airlines.

@bbcisrubbish , you posted "If a first class passenger is incapable of training it's child neither of them should be allowed on board at all. I for one am sick of badly behaved, spoiled, precocious brats." Here, here, we are in total agreement!! Sometimes, when we are leaving the plane, somebody will lean over to exclaim to me "I didn't even realize those kids were on board!" and to myself I think "score!!" :-)
