I'm a Psychology Masters Degree student studying subliminal messages. I just wanted to mention that they hardly work, this certainly wouldn't change anyone's minds about anything. Flashing popcorn up in front of people during a movie (lots of times) doesn't make people buy popcorn, so one word will not make a different to political beliefs.
Now, that may have been the INTENTION, that no one can be sure about. But, just don't worry about walking away like a brain washed zombie after watching CNN.
