I don't believe what that Ladakhi looking person said on the Siachen Galcier being good for nothing. The source of the Nubra river which empties into the Shyok river which in turn meets the Indus river is located in Siachen. So possession of the glacier is very important for us Indians. Not only from the point of territorial integrity but also water security. Remember: future wars will be fought for water!
