Mac Mini Dual Hard Drive Kit

When we took apart the 2011 Mac Mini, we found the optical drive conspicuously absent. While few are bemoaning Apple's efforts to hasten the death of physical media, we were saddened that Apple didn't make better use of the extra space. Fear not, we've got a solution to bring your Mini back to the space-efficiency you'd expect in an Apple product.

We've custom designed a kit with all the parts and tools needed to install a second hard drive inside your 2011 Mac Mini. This kit includes:

Proprietary SATA hard drive cable
Shock-absorbing mounting grommets
Mounting screws
Mac Mini Logic Board Removal Tool
26 Bit Driver Kit
Spudger
You're free to install whatever combination of SSDs and/or spinning drives suits your fancy. Both drives are recognized as a regular internal drive and performance is identical in either position.

heyy half a year ago I got mid 2011 mini 2.7 Ghz Intel Core i7 instantly i upgraded ram 8gb. A month or so later on i got 120gb 6G SSD installed inside. Right now I'm about to install bottom drive cable and get some much needed storage. :P BTW half year nonstop usage geek bench score 6681 plus it restarts in under 10 seconds i would recommend SSD's to anyone MACSALES,com wish me luck with installation of that bottom cable thumb up :P btw i got cable at powerbookmedic,com

@TheCheezitMonster yes and no. You can if you buy a new logic board with a better processor, but it would be so hard to do I wouldn't try it.
