Generation Y, Generation Z, Millennials, the Screenagers......whatever you call modern day youth are changing. Some children are now believed to spend anything up to ten hours a day in front of a screen, with some saying that they cannot live without the Internet. By the time the youth of today are adults they will have consumed about 10,000 on-line hours each. And this screen time is without much adult intervention; in a world they have created alone, a largely un-moderated world.
Growing up with modern technology has changed the way in which our children interact, think and socialize, because it has changed the way their brains work. The access our children have to information nowadays is unprecedented. Their on-line worlds offer them unique opportunities to connect, create and form communities.
Children of today have the ability to influence as never before.
