If You Gotta Go, Go Now (Or Else You Gotta Stay All Night) from The Bootleg Series, Vol. 6. A funny song...I made some minor adjustments to the lyrics...

  • Good stuff Sofi! I like your Dylan covers, there's something about all Dyaln songs that touches me to the core and its nice to see a pretty face singing it as well. :)

Heard some lyrics that certainly werent in the original 'you know id have nightmares & a guilty conscience too...' found that interesting, is it from an alternate version or did you add them yourself?

Visions of Johanna is my fave Dylan song, I guess its conquered my mind, nice to see you covered it.

    Keep it up gal

  • Thanks! That verse is actually from the 1964 live acoustic performance of the song at the philharmonic hall, but he doesn't sing it on the electric version released on the bootleg series 1-3.

  • sofi, this cover of yours was sent to my e-mail. it's nice to you you choose some of the lesser heard tracks. i just bought a copy of the great white wonder.the record. if you'de like a copy, let me know you emailed me once, but i don't know how to do that. also, have you hever heard the 5/1/1970 sessions with george harrison/charlie daniels? that's the one dylansings "yesterday"

like i saisd, i don't know how to go about getting them to you if you even need them. take care, pete

  • i also own the great white wonder, but thanks for asking! i've heard that version of "yesterday," and i love it... i don't own it as of yet, but i'm also a big collector of dylan's bootlegs... where'd you find it?

  • Nice effort.....In 1965 this tune was recorded by an often overlooked fabulous English band, the Liverpool Five, the only band on record to refuse to sign up with Brian Epstein. Their music is turning up on You Tube....I recently found their version of this Dylan tune on " Nuggets from the Liverpool Five ( Part 1)". ...well worth checking out.

  • Do yourself a favor and check out the version of this tune by the band Bob first offered it to. It's found on You Tube's " Nuggets from the Liverpool Five ( Part 1) . No harmonica but a great 12 string and vocals.

  • holy crap this is awesome. I love Dylan, and I love your cover of this song. If you were playing in the subway I'd drop a 20 in your guitar case.

  • Yeah Dylan use that a lot.. =Ð

  • Nice cover but my mother has the 45 rpm record of this same tune by the Liverpool Five which I have recently discovered on You Tube and as noted below by MB300TE.
