Family Ties' Meredith Baxter Birney stars in this made-for-television movie about a woman threatened with losing her son to her ex-husband. Following her divorce, Margaret's son Aaron is the only person who matters to her. But when Margaret unexpectedly begins showing symptoms of mental-illness, the boy's father decides she is incapable of safely caring for their child.

  • Aaron is actually my husband. We have been together for over 20 years, we have 3 beautiful boys and he is a wonderful Father. He works as a juvenille counselor and has a very healthy outlook on life. Meredith Baxter did a fabulous job portraying Margaret. The film was pretty close to real life but didn't always portray how harsh it really was.

  • @66kompis Why would you say that? He was a very mature individual, even as a little boy, we all saw it depicted right in this film. I don't think he would need therapy, if anything, he will TEACH others how to deal with mentally impaired parents. You cannot say she wasn't a wonderful mother, yes, she made many mistakes and he had to care for her, but she did everything for HIM out of her love for him and only HIM. That's what a mother should be about, and she was everything one has to be.

  • @gaiagale Thank you. I just made my way to read your comment and when I clicked back here I was actually amazed at the comment I left just 1 short year ago. You have no idea, but I actually got a lump in my throat and started tearing up as I remembered this tough but nonetheless, wonderful story. To Aaron's wife, you must be so very proud of him! Please let him know we all love what he did for his wonderful Mother, he's going to be a star that will shine bright someday in our skies. :)
