U.S. forward Alex Morgan was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Kansas City Royals game while the U.S. team is in town preparing to face Canada on Saturday. The organization could not have been nicer and she threw a strike, almost.

The players did well. They're used to patting the person's bum when they see someone wearing their team's jersey. Big crowd for that game!! Or do they just show up for the 7th inning stretch there in KC?

I would have gone to this game if I had known she was there. Seeing her drive past the Plaza makes me crazy that I wasn't around.
