When i started i did just leg extensions and gained muscle in my legs lol. I started lifting about a third of the weight stack. After 3-4 months i was lifting the whole weight stack. Shoulda still done squats though.

N for my upper body I do reps of 10.
For my lower body I do reps of 6 to give my legs extra strength... Should I do more reps for my legs????
