The Harry Ransom Center annually awards up to 50 fellowships to support scholarly research projects in all areas of the humanities. This video features 2008-2009 fellowship recipient Axel Stähler from the University of Kent at Canterbury. Stähler's research topic "The Playwright as Author Icon: The Case of Arnold Wesker" required substantial on-site use of the Ransom Center's general manuscript and book collections. The fellowship was sponsored by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
