Adam Caplin's 1988 Giocattolo Group B has a steering malfunction forcing the car off the road and into a tree, ALMOST completely wrecking the vehicle. Turn volume up.
Yea looks like it did break, just a gentle bend and it goes straight as an arrow with him steerin left. I'd bet it has heims/sperical rod ends, and I've never liked their looks in terms of strength.
who knows.. but you can see the front end litterally washes out within half a sec, from what looks like massive under steer.. possibly a bit of a torque induced slide? hard to tell.. other possible thing i can come up with is bad rebound or the coils have binded when compressed from the bump on the side of the road, and as a result lost total traction.
good sportsmanship from richards & co, who would stop to check if their fellow competitiors are ok these days?
Giocattolo011. Ask your uncle who owns #006 and ask him if said gentleman would know what happened to his car...and if he's the type of bloke who would report it accurately?
Paul and Barry built an awesome car, no question, but this is the second failure of the same component of this car, and after 20 years of heavy use, why not?
soz bud but it wasnt the upright and unless u own one , i know more.... trust me, not that im trying to start a pissing match but serioulsy u cant just write nething n expect ppl to swallow
Car not destroyed! Half way back to being even more beautiful.....and "he" didn't post it...no idea who did., looks like someone took the feed off the TV show.
I know for a fact that "he" never wanted this video to be shown.

I've raced cars, and that was a definate front right suspension failure. Definately not driver error.
