The fact that he is getting it over his head has to do with him not stopping it from doing so. I thought that his style was the American Swing. Russian is to the chest.

The fact royroy that he is getting it over his had has more to do with a too light bell. Use a heavier bell and then tell me I'm not using more lower body intensity. Snatches with a decent size bell is far better than that light bell swung overhead via inertia. No way would I allow anyone to swing that tiny bell and call it beneficial. Heavy is key in kettlebells. And BOYLE _ I'm sure that swing has a name but it is NOT the foundation of the kettlebell swing and you didn't identify it as such.

@6bProductions acctualy, the style of swing that he is doing is called the romanian kb swing. up to the face swing is a russian kb swing.

the fact that he gets the KB overhead indicates that he is using more hip (lower body) explosion, thus working the lower body more intensely. think about the snatch in OL. the momentum comes from the lower and middle body. the upper guides and supports the barbell.

too much arm action- the KB swing doesn't go overhead stiff armed like that demo. It is a lower body hip action.
