loool at his disgruntled expression after the second "hai !"

I am german and the translation of "shark" is "Hai" wich sounds like "hi".
In Germany It is also usual to say "hi" to say "hello" to friends.
Often when i said "hi" to say hello, people answeard "wo?" wich means "where?"
They may thought I saw a shark. ;)

I am going to Germany next year.
Now since I know how to say "Shark" in German, I might just go to a beach and scream "HAI" as loud as I can.
JK! :-)

When I went to Germany a few years ago, my friend was surfing, he waved at me, and I said "Hi!". Everyone freaked out and paniced. I didn't know what was going on until I saw this. :P

Yes, I learned that while surfing with some German friends. Try yelling 'Hi' to a German in the surf and see what happens..
