This is The Cave Troll Project from Bournemouth University, NCCA Masters Animation course. It is made up of 7 students from the MA, Msc and Digital Effects courses. It took 8 weeks of work to produce a CG character against a live plate, integrate it into the scene. Maya, XSI, Shake and houdini were all used to produce this short film.

@cperryk Maybe it was just hard for it to get its fingers underneath' it could've been stuck in mud.

Good work! We have trolls in a walk-in cave, too, but ours are sweet trolls. They run a bakery. --The Great American Dollhouse Museum
