Filmed on location @ Shades of Green. The lack of lights in the pavilion is why Bob appears as a shadow throughout most of the film.

I wish I could do what you do for a living.I work dead end jobs right now with no passion for anything but my garden and my various hobbies....But I'm only 23 and I have time to learn more and (hopefully) put myself in the right places how did you get started doing this?

This requires a 2-part reply... I hear ya, RedField! Good thing is you're young & wise enough to recognize you don't wanna be locked into a dead-end, soul-sucking job. I'm kind of in the same place, but I'm older. If I were you, I'd stick with your natural talents & find your niche. Then find a successful person doing what you're striving to be & get them to be your mentor. I wonder where'd I be if I was a young part-time worker @ Shades of Green & learned from them. Its never 2 late to start.

Part II... If I remember correctly, Bob started out learning from his grandfather in his greenhouse. Later in his school years, he raised orchids & sold'em to local nurseries & flower shops. He also had a mentor (Altin Grim) and took off from there. Bob's background is a research biologist. So find a successful mentor & shadow them. Also realize what you learn in college in no way foretells what your ultimate career / labor of love will be. Get started today & keep moving forward. Good luck!

All 10 segments are just chock full of great information. I will have to watch these a few times to absorb the amount of info he gives. Big thumbs up for Bob Webster.
