So who is the guy in the fake captain's cap who never learned to eat with his mouth closed? Pretty disgusting....

That's Adolph Green. He and Betty Comden wrote On The Town, Singin' in the Rain, Bells Are Ringing... in short, about 25 percent of the Great American Songbook.

Hi Steven- we produced the 2001 bio of Lana Turner for TCM (Lana Turner: A Daughter's Memoir). Unfortunately, they've cut back on their long format productions after Moguls and Movie Stars- and it's hard to beat out Jon Wilkman for a contract... he's about the best doc maker alive, with a CV that goes back to the late 1950s...

How about TCM? I'll bet they'd love this stuff.

Totally excellent information, RoadTweeker- thank you! I think that she was here because she was making The Chase that summer with James Fox and Jane Fonda- who are also there in another clip... :)

Janice Rule grew up dreaming of becoming a prima ballerina. "At 4," she claims, "I was dancing around the house en pointe." By 15, she was saving for ballet lessons by working as a chorine for "a bunch of drunks" at the Chez Paree nightclub in Chicago. Janice then moved to New York to study at Balanchine's school, but ended up at the Copacabana and as a Broadway gypsy. Flattened by a sprained ankle, she began to read plays and decided to switch to acting.

Ben Gazzara had great taste. :) Did you ever see her in The Swimmer with Burt Lancaster?
