In this episode we get a quick update on our 1968 Chevy Camaro project. After finding laquer primer we had to strip it down to the metal and start all over again, bummer. People do not use laquer primer. Check out how we get it ready for metal and bodywork.

  • I have a question, There is a place in roselle il that will dip the whole car and any or all its parts in an electrolite solution. NOT ACID! what are your thoughts on this? is sanding better and if so why? Thanks for the videos, I enjoy them alot.

  • @cptdavidwebb I haven't heard of the process. you will need to sand before applying your first undercoats to give them a mechanical grip to adhere to so far as I know.

  • that DA your using, is that a hutchins water bug 7544?

  • @terryf313 no it's a hutchins da but not a water bug.

  • where can i get the wax & grease remover???

or can i use other thing like mineral spirit to clean the surface so the pain looks nice and clean?

  • @X2N18 Any refinish supplier I've seen it at the automotive section of Wal-Mart. Do not use mineral spirits.
