We've heard that we need to prepare for a coming food shortage in America, but how can there be a food shortage in America? I mention possibilities of how this could happen.

  • i am kind of positive it`s gonna happen , because there is a major drought and everything is changing to the worst

  • @Mrfreeenergy1 Probably some time, things change, we'll see.

  • The only reason why we have food is because religious people refuse to grow corn that is destine to be converted to fuel or medical weed. Once these religious people go bankrupt, the farmers who survive will not grow food as it is more profitable to use farmland for fuel or growing weed. There is no such thing as renewable energy when it comes to using land, water & fertilizer to create it.

  • @JustSayNo2Guns I'm glad we have religious people!

  • bees and many other insects around the world are dying by the billions from pestesites and unknown desieses if the pollination stops the world food supply will stop within less then 4 years ! your seeded crops will not bare fruit if the flower isn't pollinated !

  • @artyfarty3 Yes, that would greatly suck! I do know that people can pollinate the plants by hand, one flower at a time by lightly tapping the center of the flower with a finger or a something else that won't damage the flower.

  • @ActivistJohn832 That is why we should all know where they live, so if there is a food shortage and people are starving we can all go to where they live and eat them!

  • @centervilletn RE the "drought" in Cali: it's manufactured. The stupid legislature and activists both in and out of the judiciary are cutting off the water from the Sacramento Delta to the Central Valley farms to save a pissant little smelt that MAY become endangered IF water levels drop so a certain level even though they have dropped below that level in the past and the damn fish are still there.

  • @Antimoralfag Sustainable cities? Show me one.... just ONE truly sustainable city. The only thing I see the liberals here in California doing is putting up roadblocks to anything that looks sustainable. Like killing wind generators through zoning laws in SF and LA; like Red Ted Kennedy and his bunch killing off shore wind farms on the East coast. Health codes and composting toilets etc. Once the welfare checks, daily kos, starbucks and facebook stop happening, you libtards are gonna die.

  • @jannikmt Ummmm...... not so much.
