Thats pretty fast to me. Usually when reading a tome of a book such as this by Pynchon, its a while to finish one page. His books are realllly precise and linear (though sometimes non linear). It forces me to read it slower, thats for sure.

dude, a 10 page chunk of a book is hardly "fair usage" - intellectual property law may be overblown, but it enables Pynchon to make a living writing...I think this video is funny

What a chump. That video is evidence that whatever Pynchon is trying to do is doomed to failure if this is how it's reaching readers. Full of false suspense, arrogant and without content, this guy should be ashamed of himself. And judging from his haircut, he will read this comment.

I actually got the book off the shelf thinking you were going to actually, you know, DO something. If I want to see someone take notes on this monster, I can just look in the mirror, you know?
