Dr. Gilbert Burnham is the co-author of "The Human Cost of the War in Iraq: A Mortality Study (2002-2006)." It was published by "The Lancet," a British Medical Journal, in Oct., 2006. The study concluded that 654,956 Iraqis have died as a result of the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of that country. Dr. Burnham, an epidemiologist, is the co-Director of the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response at the Johns Hopkins U.'s Bloomberg School of Public Health. His talk took place, on May 8, 2007, at Busboys & Poets in Washington, DC. The event was sponsored by www.vineeta.org. Dr. Burnham's excerpted remarks focused on the generally accepted methods used in a mortality study of this type. using irony on your comment about death doesn't make you so smart either.

Really... Really?? Ok, apparently you need to be spoon fed. I don't agree with the war in Iraq. What I was trying to say is that no one gives 2 shits about how many Iraqis die. It's wrong that no one cares. The American death toll is significantly lower yet that's all that is ever reported. That being said, things are getting better there.

may you be murdered and wrapped in a rug and dumped in hell.

Although this was so long ago, my comment was meant to be ironic. How no one cares how many Iraqis have been killed. It's almost never brought up in political debates. It is swept under the rug.

I know where to find the # of troops wounded and killed. I don't know where to find the # of contractors wounded and killed.
