@northeastsurfing good words my friend.
I am working very hard on my life and family life as well at the moment. :)
But I am enjoying every min of it. :)
I love this song as well.

@northeastsurfing - Yes swimmers can make it hard on surfers when they swim in the "surfers only" zones. Being safety aware is everyone's responsibility. Most are good about it, but some surfers take unnecessary chances. Like they say, "It's all fun until someone gets hurt." Great job with posting all the surf videos. Much appreciated!

@bdaddy23 - God forbid I die tomorrow, though if this happened I am very happy with how I have lived. Unlike most people I have lived the life of ten men. Climbed mountains, skied over 60 days a season, and surf every time there is swell. I have no regrets, and live for the now. If you work hard you can experience life even harder. I never put off living for anything, I just worked harder to have whatever I wanted. Now I am sharing those things with a family, and teaching them to live the same.

@bdaddy23 - Just look at our videos and you tell me? Our swell season is mid August to mid June, not bad. September is the biggest waves most seasons, Oct and Nov fun, while the winter is consistent, the spring is small and messy most years. This year August picked up early, had a great week now flat again but more swell on the way. There are many factors of swell world wide, not all of them are storm related.

@northeastsurfing how is the surf this year? I also live in central MA so it's not like I am right on the beach. If I did I probably would already own my own board. Something else that i read a lot is we dont get very big waves up hear unless its during storm season or stormy weather? is that the case?

@northeastsurfing I will have a little more time / freedom to use it at the beach. if I got one now it would just be another thing I have that takes me away from my family. so once my boy is using a buggy board all on his own I will probably buy my own board then.
I used to skate board a lot (not anymore) and I have snowboarded every winter for like the last 15 years. I have tried a surfboard once and I knew i would love to get one but just have not yet. It is still a dream of mine though.

@northeastsurfing haha not yet. And that comment was over 2 years ago. :( Well my son is just about to turn 2 and now I have a 2 month old daughter as well. (that is where all my time has gone) I was thinking about it again at the beginning of summer and was checking on craigslist for one (doesn't seam like a bad place to get one?) then house projects came up and really it is just not the right time for me to invest in one. I am thinking once my son and daughter get a little older
This vid tries to promote the joy of surfing. Too bad it doesn't promote safe surfing. Firstly, these surfers paddled out where there are swimmers. Okay maybe the beach was crowded, but it needs to be stated surfers and swimmers don't mix. Secondly, the guy at 2:42 jumps off his board in front of a kid. How irresponsible! Pull out of the wave correctly or hold onto your board. I hate it when surfers disregard the safety for others. Be more safety conscious! I surf, and yes I criticize.

@visitdallastx - At Most beaches in the Northeast, people surf all year around. Yet there are only swimmers in the ocean a few months a year. Surfers are ask to watch out for people swimming, and to only surf in the surfing only areas at most beaches. Though swimmers can swim anywhere they want, but chose to stand in front of you while you are trying to surf. It works both ways. Most surfers know how to surf around swimmers, yet some do not. Education is the best way to make everyone safe.
