I'm British, and in British English, the 't' in often is usually pronounced - as Sergio said, both ways are correct.

@PerfectEnglish / Hi I'm an English teacher too. I teach my students that "often" can be pronounced in two ways: /ˈɒf(ə)n / and /ˈɒft(ə)n/ .I'm Irish but grew up in Britain and I say /ɒf(ə)n/.
