Gettysburg was the battle that was the turning point of the civil war in America between the Northern States and the Southern states fought in 1863 in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, North of Washington. In this battle thousands of soldiers died on both sides.
The Gettysburg Address by the US President Abraham Lincoln is considered one of the finest speeches ever written and was dedicated to the soldiers who perished during the battle of Gettysburg at the new cemetary at Gettysburg that was dedicated to them.
