An attempt at running multiple services on 'Victoria Street', cars include MMTB SW6 870 & X1 460, with W5 800 resting in the background, the layout is block wired, most of the extra detail such as signage and trolley wire (decorative at the moment) are in place.

The layout is roughly indicative of the Melbourne Metropolitan Tramways Board of the late 50's early 60's with a few chronological errors for viewers to find and comment on.

enjoy

P.S it is really difficult to track shots, drive trams and make the whole thing look good in one take, hence the shot ends when the X1 stalls on the cross over.

  • I glued the track to the board, and built up the road level using corrigated cardboard to roughly rail height, then used the card from cereal boxes as the road base and concrete sections of the tram track, then used 600 grit wet/dry sand paper as tarmac. r

  • Just interested in how, if you can explain in steps, how to put the track into the road? Did you use a router?
