Was this bus a manual transmission? Almost looked/sounded like one... The roll-back at the end along with the revving of the engine slightly while moving forward makes it seem like it's a stick...

The engine sounds like a Cummins 6CTA8.3. Caterpillar still had the 3208 on its school bus engine roster, but I believe the engine on this particular bus has a 6-cylinder idle.
