Shoreline Restoration - Port Perry, ON

Spanning a 5 year period from 2000 to 2005, the Scugog Shores Millennium Project involved the preparation of a Shoreline Restoration and Recreational Trail Master Plan for a 1.5 km segment of shoreline in the heart of Port Perry, followed by two project implementation phases.
Phase 1 -- Joe Fowler Park involved the construction of a 200m shoreline trail segment and related passive recreational facilities, coupled with the implementation of a variety of bioengineering techniques and extensive native species plantings to stabilize a section of Lake Scogog shoreline subject to heavy erosion.
