Charles D. Case, a partner in the Raleigh office of the law firm Hunton & Williams LLP will discuss two current topics in the environmental arena. Case will be joined by colleague Matt Hanchey, an associate of Hunton & Williams. First, the two will talk about the importance of water and recent actions by North Carolina to assure the availability of adequate and clean supplies of water, including recent actions regarding drought response, limitations on water transfers, and the current Water Resource Allocation Study. Second, they will discuss the States efforts to encourage the development or redevelopment of old, industrial sites through the use of Brownfield Agreements. Mr. Case has practiced in the area of environment, health and safety law for over 30 years and teaches Environmental Law as an Adjunct at Campbell Law School. Mr. Hancheys practice has focused on administrative and environmental law, with an emphasis on air and water issues.
