No need for caps lock, sweetie, it's just a book series. Also, this is a parody. I think they did it in a sort of "How Twilight should have ended" style. Since Edward can read her mind he's not attracted to her because she's like any other human being thus the saga didn't even take place. Part of the attraction and anger Edward had for Bella was the fact he couldn't read her, she was completely unpredictable for him, thus making her interesting.
