vivitar 510N at dusk

testing new camcorder, vivitar 510N bought from staples for $50.
revised comments.
I've just glued on some 1/4 20 nuts for a tripod mount
and will be using this more often in the daytime.
will get a 4GB card to see if it works and will update.
OK, just tried a Transcend 4GB SDHC card, it's class 2 and it works fine in the vivitar. I think 4GB is the limit per the manual
in Bright sunlight the black hole appears when shooting at the sun.

Could I bug you for a minute of your time??.I have one question...I have been going nuts trying to figure it out ..I have the exact same camera for awhile now. I always plug it in the USB port and open Quickflix and a box opens with everything I filmed on it . I hit OK at the bottom and it starts to download my movies..Recently , I open the quickflix and no box shows up ..I am not able to get my movies off the cam and onto the computer. Do you know what this might be??..Please help!!!...Lisa

@shadow1967000 I don't use the internal memory. I use a SD card. I think the cam still uses usb 1.0 so it's very slow. AND, I think my quickflix software is corrupted. I use windows movie maker.. I don't think you need Quickflix to transfer your movies to the PC. Your movies should be in a separate file folder, you can transfer it that way.

How do u get sound when i record it doesnt have sound but im just play backing on the camera it self with it have sound when its on my computer?

there's no speaker on the cam but there will be sound when you play it on a PC or TV.

the sound is not bad, it's just wind noise.

I wish it had a tripod mount but I used a rubber band to mount it on my bike handlebars.

I've seen this with other cheap camcorders like the Jazz DV153.
