  • Wouldent it be easier to just chatter the side of the bowl? ive been getting into surface decoration now that i got throwing down and i think chattering is supeeeerrr easy and it looks cool. i tried fluting and i cant get the lines straight, if you made the right tool you could chatter a bowl that would look the same as a fluted one. ^^

  • YOUR FATHER TAUGHT ME HOW TO FLUTE AND WEDGE WHILE I WAS AN ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT ANDERSON RANCH IN THE LATE 1980'S. I HAVE A FEW OF HIS POTS AND A LETTER FROM HIM. I ENJOYED HIS COMPANY AND WAS FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO TAKE HIM TO MAROON BELLS WITH ANOTHER FRIEND AND HAVE A PICNIC. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME AGAIN. i still have my hack saw blade---but i learned with the other end. I like the round end today.
