I hate when people post negative things. I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this video. I am currently working on a tree and I was not sure how to get it started. Thanks to your video..I should have no trouble at all. AWESOME techniques at the beginning there. A novice would make every branch the same. An expert knows better. :D you rock. thank you again.

As mentioned , I tried demonstrating simple "techniques" for a beginner. I am a more experienced painter so I also used more complex techniques when drawing my tree. As far as painting from top to bottom, I am able to paint the end of the branch while maintaining the thickness I want, which can more difficult for a starter. Thanks for stopping by though!

you broke so many of your own rules as well as others, including painting strokes backwards from top to bottom, painting everything off the page, repeated patterns, etc. you demonstrated one type of stroke then scratched at the picture without using any of the strokes you showed
