@goodgood123321 Straight bore has more knock down power. penetration through walls and ceiling. especially with a 2 1/2. We used to use the fog nozzle and switched over all our attack lines except for 1 to the str8 bore

You guys should get fog knozzles, ppv and wear your safety glasses.

@fireguye4 ok....i prefer the "BULLARD ROUND HELMETS"....they might look funny or dumb to you but the protection is much better....

@vipersarmycrew leather new yorker helmets are the best. The bullard round helmets are dumb. Its leather forever

i was supposed to take a ride along but the guy I talked to never called me back. He was going to set up a day where I could go for a full day and ride with the chief. I even signed the waiver and everything. Guess I'll have to make the call.

@havik82 i'm guessing that they don't have a jr program where you live? Where i live they do .. I'm an EMT. and a FF on 2 different companys.

that guy is nothing but a piece of garbage, and dont let it bother you. You and all of FDNY are heroes, and i have never ending respect for you and your fellow firefighters. His comment makes me irate, and if i could i'd give him a good beating. Your buddies died saving total strangers, and that is absolutely amazing to me. Firefighting is the best job ever. Helping people, Putting out fires. Breaking stuff. Age 17 future firefighter. going to a technical school after i graduate next year.
