Around one thousand climate activists have been attempting to shut down Ratcliffe-on-Soar coal power station in Nottinghamshire, taking direct action with repeated breaches of the security fencing. The action comes only weeks before the UN COP15 Climate Conference in Copenhagen, and follows the arrest of 114 activists allegedly planning to infiltrate the power station in April.

all tree huggers are exactly alike....completely brain dead. They protest cutting down trees by burning houses, which need more trees to rebuild them. They throw red paint on fur coats, which results in more animals killed to replace the coats. Then they bitch about global warming, which results in them releasing more CO2. Everything they do not only doesn't help them, but in most cases they make their "cause" worse by protesting it. They are just a bunch of morons.

Protest and progress...NOT! Anarchist criminals. Destroying private property which utlimately you and the rest of the public will have to pay for. Assault. Breaching the peace. Endangering life. Endangering the lives of children. Who would stand their child on top of an electric fence. That demonstrates your mentality very well. Of course it's protest & it's progress & they're not criminals, they're heroes protecting the future of our planet! Is that your idea of anarchy & lunacy?? You just don't understand. Can't you see that it's vitally important? Isnt strong protest needed after all negotations failed? Something has got to be done to stop it & actions like this aren't new.
