  • @6eeyore9 - We edited the tune for this performance (and not most others), artistically sound as Ben's tune may be, because of the demographic of the audience and the educational nature of the festival. I'm very sure that Ben wouldn't curse in this situation either. Now, if it were a college gig...let 'em rip!

  • @meneptusmusic - Brilliant irony in your comment, even if you didn't know you were being ironic. It's a vocal jazz performance (even though this is a pop tune), and the audience is expected to behave as they would for an instrumental jazz performance, which means clapping is appreciated and considered polite after solos, even if it's during part of the next solo.

  • I'm a HUUUUGE Ben Folds fan, but this version is better than his. I love the scat. :) They totally made it their own.

  • Yeah, she probably didn't want to say "shit" very loudly in front of an audience. Especially not out in Folsom. ;D

  • This is one of the most amazing collegiate a cappella song arrangements I have ever heard. Great job, guys.

  • lyrics were changed slightly for this performance because it was performed at a High School Jazz Festival.

  • why edit art??? language is part of it, regardless of values
