@alishalareina I think u have a mixup. I attended teh Maxwell concert and she performed that song- calling it the "Light and the Son" off her new cd.

This was when she was featured with Maxwell... u would have thought it was her concert !!! Philly girl proud !!! I was so excited to be there. MAxwell should have gracefully bowed out and let Jill continue ripping the stage because that is what she did before he performed...

This song "The Light And The Sun" was asingle Jill was working on at the time (2010) when she was on tour with Maxwell. The album was delayed because Jill Scott was having problems with Hidden Beach. She has since left Hidden Beach and her new cd was released on a new label (With the same exact cd title she originally started with).

@purenoire they are suing her for the 10 year or 10 album deal true but, that is actually an illegal contract in california where the contract was signed...so she left and hidden beach is using some previously unreleased music to sell and she is making an independent now releasing The Light of the Sun on her own
