This performance was on April Fool's Day 2007. This piece was originally for guitar but works great on the marimba. I fell in love with this piece when I heard Orlando Cotto's performance live. The cajon is not necassary, but as you can tell, it adds a whole lot of flavor! Jason Caudill is playing the cajon.

  • Absolutely amazing! This is delightful to hear on the marimba! Please, post more!

  • hey, i think you did a great job, very creative, keep up your work, thank you for playing it

  • Or just wrong notes?

  • Good performance, but I think you've got arranged the marimba part, is'nt it? Because I don't have the same version...

  • its called a cajon (means box)

  • The marimba is nice, but the "snare drum" (it isn't one but I don't know he's real name '^^) is too noisy... But this is very good :D

  • I was lucky enough to see it played live by Orlando Cotto when I was at UT Arlington and he was our clinician back in spring of '05. Needless to say it was off the fuckin' chain.

  • Nice separation with bass and melody

  • LOVE IT!!

  • Dude this is awesome! I play this song on guitar, I love it. Very nice.
