The rest of them were staunch Christians, and before every meeting the founding fathers held, they had hours of prayer. The VAST majority of the founding fathers wanted America to be a Christian nation. Once again, history has perpetuated the exception and not the rule.

I hate to be the "Johnny Raincloud," but we never had America. America was never founded on Christian principles. Most of the founding fathers were in fact Deists, far from Orthodox Christianity. Many of the founding fathers were influenced by Enlightenment philosophers (who were prominently deists). The only Theistic nation to ever exist was ancient Israel. I'm a Christian who has studied history and I'm just trying to shed some light.

your wrong the reason america is the way it is is because we as christians have sat on our lazy butts and not stood for anything and we have lost the foundation we were once founded on and to ever get back to that we better STAND UP for God because he did something for us that no other man could ever do he Saved us!!!
