Sustainable means created in a way that doesn't harm the earth and that you are able to stay in biz so that you can continue to make the needed changes. The fashion biz is susposed to be progressive. Most clothing isn't going to be a lifetime purchase. We all know clothing wears out after a while. There is a contradiction between the fact that fashion encourages excessive seasonal consumption, and this kind of material over-consumption is one of our biggest ecological problems, but there are ways to make the necessary process of clothing production more sustainable, for instance using natural, organic or recycled fabrics.
