Good video! Nice easy way for homeowners to prolong the life of the gutters.

there's a better way than spikes. Hidden hangers. Just snap them in and use the screw that comes with them . This way you won't see anything on the front of the gutter and there's no need to worry about warping the gutter if you tighten too much. They also only a few cents more than the spikes.

Thanks for the tip...I will definitely pick up some Gutter Spikes!

Thanks, I think the previous home owner of my house use to beat his gutters with a stick to remove the ice resulting in a lot of loose gutter spikes... I have attemtped to remove and hammer back in with no success. Can't wait to try the gutter screw now. Thanks for the tip Bob.

The screws have been around for 10 plus yrs - gutter installers use the nails because they are cheaper - the screws are like 2x the price of the spikes and now the spikes are aluminum and they are prone to bending when driving them. If you are putting on new gutters use the hidden hangers that go inside the gutters and slip under the first course of shingles - more cost but better results and they hold snow weight better in northern areas.
nice....thanks for the tip neighbor
